Inner surface of the xiphoid process, costal cartilages, ribs, and lumbar vertebrae.

Insertion of Diaphragm

Central tendon of the diaphragm.

Muscle Action/Function of Diaphragm

Increases the volume of the thoracic cavity in inspiration.

Arterial (Blood) Supply of Diaphragm

Pericardiacophrenic artery, musculophrenic artery, inferior phrenic arteries.
